SAINTCON 26 is at the Utah Valley Convention Center in downtown Provo. Here’s how to get there.
From Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
SLC is the nearest major airport, about 50 miles north of Provo. Typical options:
UTA FrontRunner (train): the hacker-friendly option
- From SLC, take the Green Line TRAX from the airport to North Temple (~15 min).
- Transfer to FrontRunner southbound and ride to Provo Central Station (~55 min end-to-end from the airport).
- From Provo Central Station, it’s about a 20-minute walk north to the UVCC, or a short rideshare.
Schedules and fare info at rideuta.com.
Rideshare (Uber / Lyft): fastest, most expensive
Budget 45 to 60 minutes in normal traffic and $55 to $90 depending on surge. Both services cover Provo well.
Rental car
Every major agency operates at SLC. If you’re flying in, picking up at the airport is the easiest option. Drive time to the venue is about 45 minutes via I-15 South. Rental desks also exist around Provo if you’d rather skip the airport pickup.
Airport shuttles
Several Utah-based shuttles (Executive Express, Salt Lake Express, etc.) run scheduled routes between SLC and Provo. Book in advance for conference dates; these fill up.
From Provo Airport (PVU)
Smaller regional service but growing. About 15 minutes by car to the UVCC. Check with the airline for current routes.
Driving
GPS to 220 W Center St, Provo, UT 84601. The closest freeway exit is I-15 Exit 266 (Center St), about a 5-minute drive east to the venue. Exit 265 (University Pkwy) also works, but it’s farther out (roughly 20 minutes depending on surface streets). Parking details are on the parking page.
FrontRunner (within Utah)
FrontRunner runs north-south from Ogden to Provo, with stops in SLC and along the Wasatch Front. Ride to Provo Central Station, then walk or grab a rideshare from there to the UVCC. The walk is about 20 minutes (see below).
TRAX (to connect from Salt Lake City)
TRAX has a limited footprint. It’s primarily a downtown-Salt-Lake-City system with a handful of outlying stations scattered across Salt Lake Valley; it does not reach Provo. Its usefulness for SAINTCON is as a transfer: ride TRAX to North Temple, Salt Lake Central, or Murray Central, then switch to FrontRunner southbound.
Walking from Provo Central Station
The UVCC is north of Provo Central Station. Walk north on 200 West for about 20 minutes to reach the venue. Flat most of the way.
