Event Details and Information

Want to join the UtahSAINT Membership Radio Network? Come to our Radio Programming Night and get your radio set up!

The UtahSAINT Membership Radio Network is an Utah statewide, fully encrypted (AES-256) simplex communication channel available exclusively for UtahSAINT members. While it does not use repeaters and its entirely peer to peer simplex, it’s perfect for direct member-to-member communication. The network will be a great option to use during the conference for UtahSAINT member communications, so if you’d like to participate, this is your chance to get connected.

What Radio Do I Need?

You’ll need to buy and bring a Baofeng DM-32UV Radio (this model is required) from:
Amazon or Baofeng Direct

What else do I need?

You’ll also need a DMR Radio ID to use on the system.  You can register for one here:
REGISTRATION OPEN SOON

Where can I use the UtahSAINT Radio Frequencies?

The frequencies are licensed and controlled by the UtahSAINT Organization for its membership under a FCC Part 90 license throughout the State of Utah.

What’s next?

Bring your radio with you on the night of the event.

We will program your radio and upload a base contact list.

Anything else I need to know?

To protect the AES256 keys, the code-plug and maintain control of the network we will restrict your radio from reading out the code-plug and keys afterwards.

What if I want to make changes to the radio later?

You will still be able to upload contacts and use the on-screen menu to make changes to the radio.  You will also still be able to wipe it with a replacement code-plug and effectively remove it from the UtahSAINT Members network if you so choose.

When and where?

To be announced soon…
