Event Details and Information

Ready to test your security savvy and prove you’re not the weakest link in the chain? Application Security Jeopardy returns to SAINTCON in full force—louder, snarkier, and more ridiculous than ever. Whether you’re a student learning the ropes, a seasoned engineer who lives for regex, or just here for the chaos, there’s something for you.

What is it?

What is it?
Application Security Jeopardy is a fast-paced, laugh-filled trivia showdown inspired by the classic game show. Teams of 1–3 people compete to answer questions about application security, hacker history, real-world breaches, weird RFCs, and other glorious niche nerdery.

The live studio audience plays a huge part too—come cheer, boo, heckle the host, and wave your handmade signs.

Why should I come?

  • You’ll laugh.
  • You’ll learn.
  • You’ll regret not signing up if you don’t.

Whether you’re playing or watching, Application Security Jeopardy is one you won’t want ot miss. Come for the trivia, stay for the snark.

What should I bring?

  • A sense of humor. If you’re not ready to be roasted, you’re not ready to compete.
  • AppSec knowledge, OR the confidence to guess with flair.
  • A team of up to 3, or just yourself—we’ll match you up if needed.
  • Quick reflexes. Buzzers are involved. No pressure.

What skills should I have?

We welcome all skill levels, from beginners to jaded pros. That said, it helps to have:

  • A working understanding of application security concepts (think OWASP Top 10, secure coding, and weird bugs)
  • Curiosity about hacker culture and internet history
  • Competitive spirit and/or chaotic energy

FAQ

Q: Do I need to sign up in advance?
A: Yes! Space is limited and we prioritize early signups. You can register as a solo player or with a team.

Q: What if I don’t know everything about AppSec?
A: That’s the point. No one does. Come have fun, learn something new, and maybe guess your way to glory.

Q: Is the audience allowed to participate?
A: Absolutely. Not only allowed—encouraged. Bring signs, bring chants, bring heckles. You may even get picked for lightning round shenanigans.

Q: What’s the prize?
A: Eternal glory, a trophy of questionable value, and probably an obscure cryptocurrency that will never be listed on Coinbase.
